Non-surgical Rhinoplasty

Wouldn’t it be great if you could reshape your nose without the downtime or expense of surgery?  Guess what? You can! Using injectable fillers, Dr. Yagoda can give you a straighter, more even nose by removing depressions, eliminating bumps, and even changing the appearance of the tip and nostril size and shape—all in a quick office procedure that doesn’t require general anesthesia, bandages, or recovery time.

The changes that can be made with non-surgical rhinoplasty can make a dramatic difference in your appearance. But non-surgical rhinoplasty isn’t always a substitute for surgical rhinoplasty. There are a few excellent reasons why someone might prefer a surgical procedure:

  • Non-surgical rhinoplasty can’t reduce the size of your nose. Although having a straighter nose might make a large nose seem less prominent, nothing short of surgery can make it smaller.
  • If you have any underlying structural issues such as a deviated septum, sinusitis or sleep apnea, injections will do nothing to correct them. A surgical procedure, on the other hand, will perfect both the appearance and function of your nose.
  • The results of a non-surgical rhinoplasty are temporary. If you’re not sure you want to commit to a permanent, surgical result, this would allow you to “try on” the results first. Of course, if you love the results of your non-surgical procedure, you’ll need to maintain them. Over time, this can prove more costly than the one-time expense of surgery. In addition, if surgery is a consideration, then repeat injections are not advised (a few times is okay) because they can make the surgery more difficult and the results of the surgery less predictable.

To determine whether non-surgical rhinoplasty might be right for you or whether you might benefit more from a surgical procedure, call to schedule your comprehensive consultation with Dr. Yagoda. As both an otolaryngologist (a doctor who specializes in the care of the ears, nose, and throat) as well as a facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Yagoda can help you realize your aesthetic goals while preserving or even improving the function of this key sensory organ.
